Biota Mino Plus proves itself at Popoyán and expands to new cultivation trials
Our partner Agropecuaria Popoyán, S.A. from Guatemala has now been working with Biota Nutri products for nine years. During this time, the company has gained extensive experience with different crops and applications. Popoyán is active in the production of both crops and young plants and grows pineapple, papaya, avocado, coffee, blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes and peppers, among others.
In addition to their cultivation activities, the company has its own sales organization: MICSA. Through this organization, both proprietary microorganisms and Biota products are offered to growers in Latin America.
Strong results with Biota Mino Plus
VEA product that has clearly proven itself at Popoyán is Biota Mino Plus. This biostimulant has been used successfully for nine years within various crops. Due to its consistent results, Popoyán has decided to distribute Biota Mino Plus also for Biota in Latin America.
The product is applied to pineapple, papaya, coffee, banana and avocado, as well as greenhouse tomatoes and peppers, among others. Growers use Biota Mino Plus to reduce plant stress and support the crop’s natural resistance. In doing so, the product is effective at relatively low doses ranging from 500 ml/ha to 1 liter/ha.
In particular, very good results are being achieved in banana cultivation, further increasing interest in the product within the region.
New trials in Indonesia
In addition to the successful applications in Latin America, Biota Mino Plus is currently being further tested in other growing regions. For example, new trials have recently started in Indonesia, focused on potato cultivation.
The purpose of these trials is to investigate how Biota Mino Plus can contribute to higher yields and more stable production under local growing conditions.
