Biota Nutri and Agrotek join forces for healthier crops in Western Canada

Biota Nutri has entered into a partnership with Agrotek to support growers in Western Canada with sustainable and innovative fertilization solutions. Starting this fall, Biota Nutri’s liquid, plant-based fertilizers will be distributed by Agrotek across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

In many parts of Western Canada, sandy soils make it difficult for nutrients to stay in place, preventing crops from reaching their full potential. Liquid fertilizers provide a solution: they move more efficiently through the soil, reduce losses, and ensure that plants receive exactly what they need for strong growth and improved yields.

Sustainable and circular

Biota Nutri’s products are a perfect match for the challenges Canadian growers face. They are 100% plant-based, fully liquid, vegan certified, and free from sodium and chlorides. This makes them not only more easily absorbed by crops, but also prevents damage to irrigation systems and salt buildup in the soil.

Mark Valentine, CEO of Biota Nutri North America:
We are proud of this collaboration and look forward to supporting Canadian farmers with the right tools. Agrotek brings market knowledge, strong relationships, and the same focus on innovation and sustainability – together, we can truly make a difference.”

Working toward the future

Agrotek and Biota Nutri share a common vision: making agriculture more sustainable, efficient, and future-proof. In addition to distribution, both parties are exploring opportunities for joint field trials, product adaptations for the Canadian market, and local manufacturing partnerships.

Jonathan Mathias, CEO of Agrotek:
Canadian growers are facing increasing challenges, from soil degradation to changing regulations. With Biota Nutri, we bring proven, sustainable solutions that meet the needs of today – and tomorrow.”
